Metoda Debeljak

Zavarovalnica Triglav, Director of HRM Department

Metoda Debeljak has been working on various human resource management positions at Zavarovalnica Triglav for more than 18 years. Currently she is a director of human resource management department and is responsible for recruitment, development and training of employees. Previously, she was a director of the Center for professional training and development. She is a member of the management board of the institute Vse bo v redu, intended for development of corporate social responsibility activities of Zavarovalnica Triglav. Additionally, she is also a member of Slovenian HR Association. Occasionally, she gives lectures and participates at different events in the field of human resource management. She is profoundly interested in the field of intergenerational cooperation and is passionate to support young people in their personal development.

Nikolaos Dimitriadis

Trizma Neuro, University of Sheffield International Faculty

Nikolaos Dimitriadis is an award-winning communications professional, educator and consultant. Dr. Dimitriadis is the author of the book “Neuroscience for Leaders: A Brain Adaptive Leadership Approach” (Kogan Page, London) and spoke at TEDx University of Strathclyde for the urgent need for Brain-Based Communication. He is a certified Neuromarketer and a contributor to the Neuromarketing Manager Program at Hamburg Media School. He has worked with IKEA, IBM, JTI, Nestle, Banca Intesa, Holcim, Pierre Fabre, Coca Cola, Raiffeisen Bank, Rauch, Teekanne, USAID and others. He is a mentor of startups at the ICT HUB, Belgrade, Serbia. He is currently the Development Director at The University of Sheffield International Faculty, City College. Dr. Dimitriadis is a strong advocate of brain-based solutions to business challenges.

Nicky Dries

Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics, KU Leuven

Nicky Dries is a Research Professor at the KU Leuven, Faculty of Economics and Business (Belgium). She is also a Research Fellow at Vlerick Business School (Belgium). She conducted her doctoral research on talent management and (subjective) career success at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), during which time she was also a visiting scholar at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (the Netherlands). She obtained her doctoral degree in December of 2009, after which she took up a postdoc position at the KU Leuven. Since then, she has been a visiting scholar at the University of Tilburg (the Netherlands), at Wirtschaftsuniversität Vienna (Austria), at Reykjavik University (Iceland), at IESE (Barcelona), at BI Norwegian Business School (Oslo), and at TUM München (Germany). In addition, Nicky was a Fulbright scholar at Boston University School of Management (US) in 2012. Nicky has published articles in international journals in the areas of career management, human resource management, and industrial-organizational psychology. She is an Associate Editor at Applied Psychology: An International Review, and is on the editorial boards of Journal of Vocational Behavior (JVB), Journal of World Business (JWB), and European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (EJWOP). She is an evaluator for the Research Foundation-Flanders (FWO), as a member of Expert Panel G&M3: Psychology, Pedagogy, Didactics and Social Work, and for the Academy of Finland’s Strategic Research Council (SRC) as a member of the Expert Panel Knowledge, Know-how and the Changing Working Life. In 2016, Nicky was selected to be featured on AcademiaNet, the European database of leading women in science. Nicky’s primary research interests are employee talent, potential, and success—and more broadly, the interplay of organizational-strategic and individual-psychological factors in shaping careers. She is frequently invited to lecture on these topics nationally and internationally, both in the academic and the business world. To date, she has been the main supervisor of five, and co-supervisor of two, doctoral research projects on talent management, as well as a co-supervisor of the Flemish Policy Research Centre Work and Social Economy (Steunpunt Werk en Sociale Economie). Nicky is an active member of the two largest cross-cultural projects within the field of career studies, i.e. 5C (Consortium for the Cross-Cultural Study of Contemporary Careers) and the Career Adaptability/Life Design project.

Omar Husić

Zavarovalnica Triglav, Director for Life Insurance Sales Support

Omar Husić graduated from the School of Economics and Busines in Sarajevo. He started his professional career in Triglav Group, which is the leading insurance and financial group in Slovenia and Adria region, as well as one of the leading in SEE. He started his path in Sarajevo as an apprentice, then continued as risk underwriter, property insurance developer and head of the sales force in Sarajevo. In the year 2014, he moved to Ljubljana, where Omar continued his career as a risk underwriter, project manager, professional head for property insurance development support and finally, director for life insurance sales support. Throughout his career, he continued with formal and professional education (MBA from Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Triglav International Business Academy and MunichRe Scholarship Programme for Future Insurance Executives).

Dominique Jousse

Leading Lights, CEO

Dominique is an Organization and People Expert, a Consultant, an Executive Coach, an occasional Speaker and a Photographer. After many years in UK and in the USA as an independent advisor, she now runs her consulting practice out of Paris, “Leading Lights”, and puts her international expertise at the service of business projects dealing with issues of organizational transformation, governance, HR strategies, leadership and talent management in multicultural and challenging environments. Education and Governance are also Dominique’s fields of research and action. She served 6 years at the EQUIS Accreditation Board at the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) in Brussels, and still continues to actively contribute to the EQUIS review teams internationally. Seasoned International Human Resources professional with more than 30 years of diversified experience and proven record in multinational Industry, Banking, Consulting and Luxury sectors, she was, in her latest corporate position in London and Geneva, the first Richemont Group HR Director, and was also the first female Executive Director to sit on the Board of Directors, for a 5 years period. Prior to rejoining Richemont, she held various senior HR positions with Andersen Consulting (London), LVMH-UD (Hong-Kong), Citigroup and General Electric (Paris), where she led HR operations in downsizing, acquisitions integration, business developments in France, UK and Asia-Pacific, as well as opening new offices in CEE and Middle East. During her tenure with GE, she participated in several Change Management Initiatives and was certified as Work-Out Facilitator and Internal Trainer. Graduated from the Sorbonne (Paris) with a BA’s in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, she specialized in HR Management at the “Institut de Gestion Sociale” in Paris. Dominique is also an IFA's Certified Non-Executive Director at “Sciences-Po. Paris” (Institut Francais des Administrateurs) and a Certified Master Coach and Practitioner at Institut Maieutis in Lyon, (France).

Robert Kaše

Professor at the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana

Robert Kaše is an Associate Professor of Management and Organization at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana, Department of Management and Organization, where he teaches various courses at the undergraduate, graduate, MBA and PhD level. His current research interests include social networks (relationships at work), strategic HRM, careers, and teamwork/emergence. His work has been published in journals like the Organization Science, the Human Resource Management, the International Journal of Human Resource Management. He is an Associate Editor of the Human Resource Management (Wiley) and on advisory/editorial boards of Human Resource Management Review (Elsevier), Journal of Organizational Effectiveness (Emerald) and Economic & Business Review. He is frequently involved in organization of academic conferences, workshops and tracks. Supporting interaction between research and practice he is an active member of the Slovenian HR Association, regular speaker at professional conferences, lecturer at executive trainings, and time-permitting works on applied projects, where he disseminates knowledge and learns from interesting organizations and talents.

Robert Kopal

Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia

Robert Kopal is Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia. He was also a Special Advisor to the Croatian Prime Minister for national security. His rich and diverse past professional and scientific experience included the positions of a Dean at Effectus University College for Law and Finance, Vice Dean for R&D at Algebra University College, and Head of the professional master study program of Digital Marketing and Data Science. He was also a Board Advisor to IN2 Group for R&D/Science and Chief Science Officer at IN2data. His security and intelligence experience included the positions of Chief Intelligence Analyst at Croatian Ministry of the Interior and Senior Manager at the Security and Intelligence Agency. He is a lecturer and visiting lecturer at numerous university colleges in Croatia and abroad and at CROMA EduCare Programme (Croatian Managers and Entrepreneurs Association). He was also head of, and lecturer at over a hundred business and analytical workshops in Croatia and abroad. He is a certified intelligence analysis techniques and intelligence analysis software trainer and a member of IALEIA (International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts) and BDVA (Big Data Value Association). He was a member of the National Council for the Development of Human Potential and member of the Agency for Science and Higher Education Commission for Social Sciences. He has designed several specialized IT systems. He is author of ten books, a number of chapters in books and about sixty professional and scientific papers published in Croatia and abroad. He is member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Economics & Management Sciences. Moreover, he is Managing Editor of the International Journal of Digital Technology and Economy. He was a member of the Croatian national team - European Big Data Hackathon 2017, which won the 1st prize. Beside all that he is also a valuable speaker at various national and international conferences, participant and head of multiple national and international analytical projects. His latest book Social Network Analysis: Application was published in April 2016. Tomaž Lanišek

Knauf Insulation, CEO

Tomaž Lanišek is a managing director of Knauf Insulation, which exceeds one hundred million annual revenues and is one of the leading companies in the field of insulation. After becoming a managing director in 2013 he has led the company to receive the title “Zlata Gazela”. He started his educational and with that also career path at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana where he obtained Bachelor’s Degree. Afterwards, he decided to gain experience abroad so he went to Drury University in Springfield, where he finished MBA program. Until 2012 he was a Cluster Director of Goodyear Dunlop Sava Tires.

Katja Matić

A1 Hrvatska, Head of People Development

Katja Matić is a manager in human resources, with 7 years of experience in team management and 8 years of experience in HR within recruitment, talent development, performance management and employer branding. Her motivation is a passion for people and their development. After receiving her MBA at Cotrugli Business School she worked at L’Oreal Adria d.o.o as HR Specialist and later on as a Recruitment & Lfd Senior Professional & Business partner L’Oreal Luxe. Within L’Oreal she managed to increase coverage of trained people from 64% to 93% and overall raised awareness of HR department within the company. Since 2017 she has been the head of People Development at A1 Hrvatska where she is leading high performing team responsible for recruitment, development and employer branding. Nina Piuzi is a Talent Acquisition Strategist at Outfit7 (Ekipa2 d.o.o. subsidiary), one of the fastest growing family entertainment companies in the world. She is responsible for all matters relating to attracting new talent for a wide variety of jobs across various disciplines and career levels, from game development and video content creation to marketing and management. Nina also works on building and supporting Outfit7’s employer brand in the local and international markets at conferences and events.

Tilen Travnik

Tilen is the co-founder of D.Labs. He uses his biotech science background to help startups & corporations grow their business using a scientific approach. After being accidentally pulled into Blockchain 3 years ago, he has become a thought leader on what applications of Blockchain make business sense and which are just hype. At D.Labs he is spearheading the development of their Blockchain Idea to Value driving Product practice, helping corporations getting their Blockchain ideas to market. After receiving his MBA, Tilen has been a lecturer at Seedcamp, the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia and an angel investor.

Dejan Turk

A1 and Vipmobile, CEO

After graduating from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration in marketing and finances in 1995, Dejan Turk was employed by McDonald's Slovenia where he began his career as a restaurant manager and finished as the CEO of the chain of restaurants in Slovenia and Croatia. He joined TAG in August 2004, when he became the head of marketing and sales at A1 Slovenia. In August 2006 he was appointed as the Member of the Board responsible for market operations and from March 2007 to February 2014 he was the Chairman of the Management Board of A1 Slovenia. Dejan Turk took over position of CEO/CMO Vip mobile in March 2014. As of 2015 he was appointed CEO/CMO of the new organizational unit "Serbia& Slovenia" within Telekom Austria Group. In addition, in 2014 he became the member of the Management Board of the NLB Bank Belgrade. As of February 2015 he is also a Board member of Serbian association of managers. Dejan Turk is the winner of many prestigious awards for a successful management of A1 Slovenia. He was also a President of the Managers' Association of Slovenia and Chairman of UNICEF Foundation in Slovenia. In March 2015 Dejan was awarded the "Kapetan Miša Anastasijević" recognition for business excellence, leadership and corporate social responsibility.

Tamara Valenčič

Independent HRM Consultant and Strategic Advisor to the Board at D.Labs

Tamara Valenčič is people development, talent management, organizational design and communication expert, successfully joining expertise into creating company cultures of engagement and effectiveness. In her professional career she worked in governmental institution, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, telecommunication industry and international corporation. In her previous job she was also exposed to a start-up environment. Currently she is working as an independent strategic advisor in the field of HRM, organizational design and talent management and is also a strategic advisor to the Board at D.Labs Slovenia. She was awarded with regional ProPR Award and HR Manager of the year 2014 in Slovenia. She is an active member and lecturer of various Slovene associations and member of editorial board of Slovene HR&M Magazine.

Bine Volčič

Monstera Bistro, Chef

Bine Volčič is internationally known master chef and a brain behind the Slovenian television show Gostilna išče šefa. He graduated from one of the most known Culinary Arts and Hotel Management schools - Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Later he was mastering his cooking skills with various renowned chefs throughout Europe. In 2011, he took over the restaurant Promenada in Bled (Sava Hotel & Resorts, Bled). He became famous because of his presence in a TV show Gostilna išče šefa, where he was mentoring, teaching and leading cook lovers to reach their potentials. He knows how to recognize talent, but most importantly he knows that one has to invest in a talent in order for a talent to achieve the best results. His dream came true in 2016, when he opened his own bistro Monstera bistro in the city center of Ljubljana. He also appeared as a judge in a TV show Master Chef Slovenia.
